With a little bit of sadness and a ton of excitement, my family and I will be moving East, to the Quinte West area at the end of June and we'll be taking Barbacoa Boyz on the next step of it's business journey.
To our friends and followers in Ajax, Durham Region, Toronto and beyond, this is not the end of our food affair!
I want to say the biggest thank you to anyone I've had the pleasure of sharing my favourite dishes with. Your support has been amazing.
Over the last 2.5 years we've made some great new friends, been able to take part in various events in downtown Toronto, including TIFF parties and as a speaker for Ontario Black History Society's Emancipation Day event, and many more.
But like I said, this is not the end - in fact it's still the beginning!
When I'm not cooking for myself or for someone like you, I'm always spending time reading and learning more about the history and cultures that inspire me. It has my creative juices bubbling and there are a LOT of amazing dishes I look forward to sharing.
Keep following us on instagram @barbacoaboyz to witness the journey into our new region and watch as we expand our enterprise with a food trailer. We'll be back in a neighbourhood festival or vendor pop-up near you in no-time. Who knows, you might even see us throw our own!
